USHA Ceiling fan designs
Background

This project was carried out in three phases - Research & strategy, design and engineering.

In the first phase, we re-aligned the company's brand architecture, specifically in the consumer electronics segment.
Next, we identified aesthetic definitions in the ceiling fans category. We created an extensive aesthetic map of all ceiling fan designs offered in the market. Based on this we identified several gaps in the styling fabric. Backed by extensive user research in over 5 cities we arrived at 4 styling categories and a detailed styling guide. A couple of key points that emerged from the study were that customers wanted fans with more of a gadget-like feel rather than archetypal furniture-like styles. The resulting aesthetic definition was seamless, asymmetrical, and organic-techno quality.
